McTAGGART, James Eldon October 7, 1934 - March 5, 2010. It is with a tremendous feeling of loss and relief that we announce the passing of Jim after a courageous and losing battle with Alzheimer Disease. Jim is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Myrt, "Number 1" son Scot (Stephanie) of Winnipeg and "Number 2" son Matt (Karen) of Trinidad. He was a loving and caring grandfather "Grampie" to Kristoph and Kaela and "Baka Jim" to Jessie Jane. He also leaves to mourn 3 sisters, Dorothy and Mona of Pilot Mound, Manitoba and Joyce of Nanaimo, BC. Jim leaves his family and friends with many wonderful memories. Jim retired from Management with CPRail in October, 1989 in Winnipeg. He and Myrt moved to Kelowna, BC right after his retirement where they spent 14 very enjoyable years on Lake Okanagan. In 2003 they moved to the Pointe, a gated adult community in West Kelowna where Myrt still resides. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at Fusion Grill, 550 Academy Road, Winnipeg, April 11, 2010, 2pm-10pm. In lieu of flowers, please share a story with us about Jim or send one to eat@fusiongrill.mb.ca A donation to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada wouldn’t hurt, either.
